Why prescribing needs its own workflow
Prescribing sits between the consultation and the treatment, and it is the part most likely to be reconstructed after the fact. It should be recorded when the decision is made.

Questions clinics ask
- Does PillarClinic send prescriptions to a pharmacy?
- No. It records and produces the private prescription document; how it reaches a pharmacy remains your existing arrangement.
- Can a non-prescriber create a prescription?
- No. Only accounts holding the prescriber role can issue one, and that restriction is enforced in the database.
- How does batch traceability work?
- Products carry batches with expiry dates. When a batch is used in a session it is recorded against that session and deducted from stock, so you can trace a batch to the clients treated with it.
- Does it give clinical or prescribing advice?
- No. Clinical decisions and prescribing responsibility remain entirely with the prescriber; the software documents them.
